What’s coming up?

We have a varied and entertaining programme planned for the coming months, with something for everyone.

We begin in October with Sarah Harris talking about The Rise (and Rise) of the Spinning Weal, accompanied by a homemade-themed competition.

In November, our Annual General Meeting gives us the opportunity to look back over the year and look ahead, with a festive Christmas-readiness challenge.

December brings two seasonal events: a Carol Service at Tickenham Church at 2pm, followed by our Christmas Party, with a Christmas decoration competition.

In January, we’ll be Making Your Mind Up and thinking ahead with suggestions for a 2027 trip.

February promises some fun and friendly competition with a Games Afternoon – members are invited to bring along their favourite jigsaw or game.

March sees Ashley Jones MBE joining us to talk about Animals at War – the History of the Dickin Medal, followed by our Spring Lunch and a spring table-decoration competition.

Finally, in April, it’s Over to You, with members taking centre stage, alongside a fun photo of you as a child competition.
