Autumn is here and the days are shortening, but here’s plenty going on at Tickenham WI.
Our programme offers something for everyone, from interesting talks to festive celebrations. Whether you’ve been a member for years or are thinking about coming along for the first time, we’d love to see you.
Here’s what’s coming up over the next three months.
Tuesday 13 October – The Rise (and Rise) of the Spinning Weal
Join us for our October meeting and an interesting talk from Sarah Harris. Our competition this month is Something Homemade, and our members usually have interesting and impressive handiwork to show..
Tuesday 10 November – Annual General Meeting
November is the month for our Annual General Meeting, when we look back on the year and consider the future direction and management of our WI.
Our competition is Are You Christmas Ready? A good opportunity to start preparing for the season.
Thursday 3 December – Carol Service
The Yeo Valley WI Group will celebrate Christmas at Tickenham Church at 2pm for our Christmas Carol Service. A lovely opportunity to come together.
Tuesday 8 December – Christmas Party
Our December meeting will be our Christmas Party, giving us a chance to celebrate together and enjoy some festive fun.
Our competition is A Christmas Decoration to Hang from a Tree. We look forward to seeing your creative contributions.
New to Tickenham WI?
Tickenham WI is a friendly group of women from Tickenham and the surrounding area. We enjoy our monthly meetings, interesting speakers, social activities and opportunities to learn new things and make friends.
You don’t have to know anyone before you come along, and you don’t need to be an expert at crafts, cooking or anything else!
Visitors are always welcome at our monthly meetings.
Our meetings take place at Tickenham Village Hall on the second Tuesday of the month at 2.15pm.
If you’d like to find out more, please visit our About Us page or get in touch through our contact form.
We look forward to seeing you!
