Tickenham WI’s September meeting was one of the most engaging and entertaining so far in our long calendar of expert speakers with fascinating topics. We had a demonstration of icing techniques from Ann Pickard, of the Icing Centre. Ann trained as a baker and then set up The Icing Centre. She has over 20 years of experience making and designing cakes.

Her skills had us totally absorbed – she showed us how to make a variety of different decorations, including ducks, birds, grass, leaves, ponds, roses and all with such ease. She also passed on many tips and then decorated three beautiful cakes, which were raffled.
