Avon Federation of Women’s Institutes is celebrating it’s 50th Anniversary this year. At the recent AFWI annual meeting the guests included Jeryl Stone, chair of the National Federation and Becky Barnes, a personal stylist with who helps women find their style with sustainable fashion choices.
Another very special guest was Ann Widdecombe this year. Ann spoke of her varied career in politics, TV, radio and as an author.

Included in the meeting was a competition amongst Avon Federation member groups to find the best postbox topper representing their Institute.

The winners were Kenn WI and runners up were Westbury on Trym. Our own contribution was fabulous, thanks to Marion, Margaret and Becky. Some very talented ladies in our Federation!
